A rug made to the exact size and shape your room needs, in the carpet you choose. Bring us your offcuts from a recent fitting, a vintage piece you've found, or pick something new. We finish the edge in your choice of tape or whipping so it looks like it was always meant to be there.

Hallway runners
Runners are made to the length and width you need, so they sit properly in the space rather than stopping short or bunching against a door. A whipped or tape-edged runner is a simple way to warm up a hallway and protect the flooring underneath.

Stair runners
A bespoke stair runner can be made to your exact measurements and finished with either quality tape edging or traditional yarn whipping. Tape edging is particularly fashionable at the moment, with bold contrasting colours, subtle neutrals and patterned tapes all being used to create a statement staircase.

Two ways to finish an edge
The finishing touches make all the difference. Both are done in our Melksham workshop on professional equipment.
Wool and outdoor yarn whipping
Yarn wrapped tightly over the cut edge, matched to the carpet or in a contrast colour, for a soft, blended, traditional finish. Outdoor yarn gives the same look on mats and garden rugs with the durability to match.

Your carpet is cut and finished by hand in Melksham. Drop it off, or we can arrange collection locally.

Can you use my leftover carpet?
Yes. Offcuts from a recent fitting are ideal. As long as the piece is big enough for the size you want, we can turn it into a rug, runner or set of mats.
Do I need to buy new carpet from you?
No. You can bring us carpet from anywhere, or we can help you choose something new if you're starting from scratch.
How many tape colours are there?
Hundreds. Plain cottons, herringbones and patterned tapes in a wide range of widths and colours. We'll send samples so you can see them against your carpet at home.
Can you re-edge an old rug?
Often, yes. If the old edging is coming away or worn, we can remove it and re-finish the edge with new tape or whipping, giving the rug a new lease of life.
Do you work with carpet shops?
Yes. We finish rugs, runners and stair runners for carpet retailers and flooring businesses across the area, returned professionally finished and ready for their customers.
